After serving 15 years for manslaughter, reformed pastor Armstrong Cane (Ving Rhames, Day of the Dead, Idlewild) is ready to make amends with the neighborhood he abandoned. Returning to his late father's preaching ground, the First Community Church of God, he reaches out to Norris, a young, troubled dealer on the path to self-destruction. With Armstrong's guidance, Norris wants out, but is threatened with his life by drug boss Blaze (Dean McDermott, Kiss the Bride) if he quits. When Armstrong is pressured by another pastor (Ricardo Chavira, Desperate Housewives) to sell the church, their chances of building a new life seem slim. Together, the two strive to escape their dark pasts, and to reclaim a brighter future.
